Merry Christmas and a Happy New 2018 To all our National Support Sites, Co-workers, Users, Supporters and to all our friends, fellow Fusioneers and your families we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ! Update on current progress for new Main and the pending PHPFusion 9.x version release. Since the release of 9.0 we have fixed over 137 known issues. For a detailed list of documented fixes and pending fixes since the release please look here. We have so much news to share really but we wanted to just publish it all live rather than write lengthy news about what we work on. Our initial plan was to upgrade Main to PHPFusion 9.x over a month ago, unfortunately we could not proceed due to problems with a stable payment platform. We discussed if we should do a partial release but since many parts of the new Main are depending on a working payment platform we decided to wait. I am talking about things like licenses, New Domain purchases, Hosting and a whole new Roadmap where you can pledge for funding in specific projects etc! So we decided to wait until we can deliver it all in one go since it all is completed, just lacking the stable payment platform. The good news is that we finally have a solid payment platform that was completed this week after many other failed attempts. We are now working to recode all systems to work with this new payment platform. When all this is complete the new Main will come online and we will start stabilize the next PHPFusion 9.x release. A forum post will naturally give you a heads-up when we are about to begin the Main upgrade as early as possible 2018.

We proudly introduce the new Backbone in PHPFusions current and future Development, The PHPFusion Developers Network (PFDN). From this day onwards, we celebrate a new age with a complete and dedicated Developer focused environment.

Some of you may have seen an american site lurking out there as another small community hub and perhaps wondering of its ties with the Official International Community and its base here at the UK site. Well, wonder no more! PHPFusion U.S.A has started up as a small, yet strong and reliable , prospering sibling to our other NSS sites and it is with great pleasure and pride I have the honour to announce it's official status as National Support Site: PHPFusion U.S.A. With this announcement I hope (as MT as well as Coordinator of 8 and NSS Liaison) to tie even more angloamerican users to the International Community of PHPFusion and also hoping for some of their cunning coders and graphic artists to do even more towards our development. Welcome!

We will be performing an upgrade of the MySQL server used at this site next Sunday. The upgrade will most probably cause an outage for about one and a half hour (1 hour and 30 min). The outage may cause PHP to stop working an you might get a "HTTP 500 Error Code - Internal Server Error" in stead of the expected page. Start Date: Sunday May 22nd 2011  Start Time: 9 PM GMT 0 (11 PM CET) End Date: Sunday May 22nd 2011 GMT 0 (Monday May 23rd 2011 CET) End Time: 10:30 PM GMT 0 (0:30 AM CET) We apologize for any inconvenience this downtime may be for you and we will do our very best to perform the upgrade as quickly and painless as possible.

It has now been a week since the three support sites were merged into this new site and as far as I can see the response has been for the most part very positive. Obviously, we can't please everyone but, we've tried to take any constructive criticism on-board and adapt or edit accordingly. This site is very much still a work in progress and there are still a few unfinished sections. There will also be various changes throughout the site as we make sure the information you need is easy to find, understand and use. Some may find it difficult to find their way around, but I'm convinced that after a while you'll find it much easier to find what you're looking for.

This site will be moving to a new host and all three main sites will be merged into one new site. See Test Site The launch of the new site will be on Nov 1. On the night before (Sun 31/10) this site will be taken offline for a few hours while this work goes on. We'll try to have the site offline for as short a time as possible but, due to the nature of what we're doing I can't give a definite time frame.

I am very pleased to announce the opening of the official PHPFusion Development Site for 3rd party developers. We have moved the roadmap and we will no longer accept feature requests or features discussions at this site. All of that will from now on be posted at the official development site where we can keep better track of it. Our goal is to bring the best developers in our community together at one site without license discussions or any other political questions which are basically just endless discussions, just pure development and nothing else. Here all developers who want to make PHPFusion better will be given the opportunity to help out by suggesting new features or changes, reporting and correcting bugs and errors or even write accepted roadmap items which they want to see in future PHPFusion versions. This will all help us speed up the development process and focus on those tasks and features you want us to focus on. So come on over and help us shape the furure of PHPFusion at the Official PHPFusion Development Site. It's also important to notice that the PHPFusion Development Site is opened for developers, not all users in general. It is not the place to ask people to make infusions or mods for you but to participate in developing PHPFusion, making it better.
