Our community forum is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space where everyone feels welcome to participate. As members, contributors, and leaders, we pledge to uphold the following principles:
In addition to the previously mentioned code of conduct, please keep in mind the following points when participating in our community forum:
By registering on our website and/or using our services, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct, our Privacy Policy, and our Terms of Service. Let's work together to maintain a positive and productive community forum.
1. Search before posting
Before posting in the forum, search for your question in the forum, as it's possible it has already been answered. Also, read our FAQ and documentation.
2. Use descriptive thread titles
Make sure your thread title is specific to your problem or need. Avoid titles like "Help Me?" or "How do I fix this?" as they may be deleted. A clear title will increase your chances of getting a fast and accurate reply and help maintain a clean forum.
3. Post in the correct forum
Place your thread in the correct forum to make it easier to view and search for. All support questions go in the forum; do not ask for support in private messages.
4. Use proper language Express yourself without using too many capital letters, exclamation marks or SMS-language/shortcuts. All posts should be made in English on the official Main site.
5. Make posts relevant and sensible
Avoid posts that don't give any more explanation or help, such as "Agree" or "This is crap." Read through your post before posting it, and make sure it's relevant to the subject being discussed. Avoid exaggerating the Quote function.
6. No double posting or "bumping"
Do not double post or post in multiple forums or support sites at the same time. Edit your last post if you have something to add. The only exception is when your thread is no longer active.
7. Guidelines for signatures
Font size in your signature should be no larger than the default text size for the forum. Use of large images or animated images is prohibited if they distract from the content. Two images with a maximum size of 50Kb are allowed. The maximum number of lines in your signature is four, with a maximum of four links and no more than four colours.
8. Appropriate avatars
Avatars that are provocative, violent, pornographic, threatening, unlawful, defamatory, infringing, abusive, inflammatory, harassing, vulgar, obscene, fraudulent, invasive or racially provocative will be deleted. Avatars that imitate moderators or administrators will also be deleted.
9. No external downloads
Forum posts with links to external downloads are not allowed. Downloads should be available as attachments in the forums or shared via the Marketplace. Use the Addons Open Testing forum to test your work before sharing it.
You may leave optional fields in your profile blank if you choose to do so. However, if you decide to fill in non-required fields, ensure that the information provided is accurate and pertinent. We welcome your interest in building your own product using the PHPFusion core. However, it is important to note that PHPFusion serves as the foundation of your product, and any distribution of your modification must include the AGPL copyright and link back to us unless otherwise agreed upon.
Additionally, we ask that you respect our work by advertising your product in a manner that does not compromise the integrity or quality of the PHPFusion core. This is referred to as loyal advertising. While your product may be faster, safer, smaller, or more updated than the core in certain contexts, it is important to note that any changes to the core's features result in different code and behavior. Therefore, it is not possible to directly compare our core to your product.
We have seen several PHPFusion-based products advertised in a friendly manner, and we reserve the right to remove any statements about a PHPFusion-based product that are disloyal to our project. Members who repeatedly violate this policy will be excluded from our communities worldwide and cannot be considered people of good faith.
If you have the necessary skills to improve PHPFusion and are acting in good faith, we would be happy to discuss development-related matters with you. Contact our Management Team to start the conversation, and we appreciate your consideration in helping us.
Please remember to give credit when credit is due.
