As i wrote in this thread: http://www.php-fusion.co.uk/forum/vie...ad_id=8801

Users is getting logged out quite often, sometime when they just go to a new page. It seem like there is other sites having this problem. Is there anything you can do, because at least my users are getting irritated by this.

Note: I didnt have this problem with fusion 6.2xx

Can you give me a direct example where you get logged out? perhaps you have a mix of urls with and without the leading wwww. letters? Theres no difference between .2xx and .3xx in terms of cookie handling.

Also, what browser are you using. If you're using Explorer you might want to go into "Tools", "Internet Options", under "Temporary Internet files" click "Settings...", select "Every visit to the page", then click OK on all open windows. You may still need to click "CTRL + Refresh" if it continues to happen. Try that; if it doesn't help then there might be something wrong with phpfusion.

Lol, if php-fusion was at fault it would happen everywhere, unfortunately cookies crumble as easy as a real biscuit in that they are subject to failure for no obvious reasons.

Well what i know the only links i have is full links with http://www.mydomain.com links like infusions/arcade/index.php, those types of links i have.

And i can get logged out from every page, including sending a pm, changing a setting or prewieving a custom page etc.

And it isnt just me and on my site, there is others that have the same problem, other users and other sites

ohh and yes i use IE

Can you make absolutely certain that it is not a mod causing this issue?

Digi i think maybe this is an address problem. http:// vs http://www i may be worng of course but i see no other reason.
I have checked most of the reported mods etc and in some cases these use $settings[siteurl] as a link. If this link is clcked then anyone logged in on http would be in effect coming into the site from a new entry but without the current cookie. (Hope that makes sense).

Many people with the problem have reported they use IE Flyingduck so while i am not saying FF is not a possible cause in some cases it apears it can not be the overall answer.
I use 1.5 FF myself and as yet have not had the problem on myown site where i know it is a problem.
I remain logged in at my site indefinetly unless i visit other fusion sites then for some reason i do have to log backin quite often but its never been a problem while within my own site or any other fusion site.

Why not add an option somewhere to make cookies global (so they work whether you put www.blah.com or just blah.com)? All you have to do is change the cookie codes from:
setcookie("fusion_visited", "yes", time() + 31536000, "/", "", "0");
to
setcookie("fusion_visited", "yes", time() + 31536000, "/", ".whateverthedomainishere.com", "0");

i know now for sure what my problem was. it was in FF, it was probably not related to this bug.

for some reason Firefox 1.5 was set up to delete cookies after closing the browser. Ive changed this to when cookies expires... now im not getting logged out anymore

I believe the problem has been resolved with succe3ss since i have now gone a day without hearing of it.
The problem wa two mods/infusions loading matching javascript.
If you are having this problem and running infusions /mods from AusiMods please follow this link to find out more.
The problem was in no way connected to php-fusion core.
