Since I'm on my laptop right now, I'll post the picture of my desktop on it. Right now the background is of my 2 month old golden retiever. The second one has the background that looks good with my xp style that I use most of the time.

lol. I'll give you the hot tip. Putting that much crap on your desktop effects performance, efficiency and your eye-sight. I'd hate to have to deal with that once, let alone on a regular basis. You really have to clean that up, that's ridiculous!

IMHO you really only need shortcuts to core applications, ie. frequently used applications. Then for the most reqeuently used, you put them in your Quick Launch (web-browser, shrink desktop etc). I only have:

My Computer, My Docs, My Network Places (can prob. remove this), IE, Firefox and a shortcut to my PHPFusion Development folder.
