I hesitated for a long time before posting this to see if things would change and they haven't. It's very disturbing to see that there is almost no activity on this main site. Fusion has come such a long way from the days of Nick. It's become a very nice CMS (even with the difficulties of trying to learn the new coding), but seems to be going down the same path that a lot of start-up CMS's have gone over the years. It's a shame because Fusion was my teacher, my helpmate in learning php and mysql, among other technologies. I dread the thought of having to learn another CMS all over again but it seems that I may have no choice as it seems to be non-supported (or very little support) anymore.

Im fully agree with you @Grimloch, im with PF from version 7, most days spend on polish support. But after version 8 also polish support which was amazing big community start going down... I was force to update my PF from 7 to 9 and i was able to to that by only one person - RobiNN. He help me migrate PF from version 7 to 9 solve or do all my request for migrated page. He was also very involved in new version of PF, after when he gone - he dont have account here anymore?! - the official support die..., there is no any new updates for PF or answers on forum. He replay on most 99% of question of forum. I miss him because he was the proper person on proper place and he keep PF a live.

@BenL
Thanks so much for your reply; I was beginning to think that no one was even reading the posts anymore. I started way back with Fusion ver6. Yes I agree; RobiNN was a very solid user who helped a tremendous number of people on here and I was very sad to see him leave Fusion. The same for a lot of other users who have gone. I don't know if there is even continuing 'thrust and parry' on Fusions' Discord server. I have tried Discord but it's just not my cup-o-tea if you know what I mean. Anyway BenL thanks again for your response and happy coding !!

Ahoj ALL!!!!!
Ano, je to krutá a smutná pravda!!!???
Nechce se mi to ani napsat - phpfusion umírá???
Šel jsem s ním přes 10 roků, přes testování apod. Byl to můj učitel PHP a Javacsript. Před pádem verze PHP v9 se do programování phpfusion pustil RobiNN. Udělal hopdně práce a povýšil nerzi na 9.10.30. Odešel z projektu také!? Velká škoda!!!
Oficiální podpora s koncem phpfusion také zřejmě zemřela...

@Kvido1
Thank God for Google Translate or I would have no idea what you wrote! Thanks for your input Kvido1 and yes, I agree seems like PHP-Fusion support has died...

@Grimloch
I thank you for the message. I already know you from past years. You helped a lot, I used your solutions several times.
Maybe if they leave the forum here we can continue.
For example, I am trying to figure out why in version 9.10.10 the icons are displayed in cvg format and not in version 9.10.30.
Greetings from the Czech Republic!

You said "cvg" did you mean "svg" ? I would have to install both versions on my local server to figure out exactly what you are trying to say here; In ver9.10.30 what format are they displayed in?

I am sorry!
These are icons, svg format.
They do not appear in the section: "Contents/Fusion file manager"

The first image is from phpfusion version 9.10.10, good.

The second image is from phpfusion version 9.10.20

Attention, saving images here on the forum no longer works.

Some of us from back in the day are still around. Admittedly it was long ago I last posted here, but I still keep a few PHP-Fusion sites up to date. Actually updated one of them today to 9.10.30.
Interest dwindle as people look at other technologies to represent them on the web but I see how more and more is done via a command prompt and frankly I hate it. Of all my sites that were PHP-Fusion only one has been migrated to another platform, some others are under new owners and, as mentioned, I retain three.
I find PHP-Fusion very hard to replace and can still think of numerous improvements that could be done, some of course inspired by other platforms and some olde ones that never made it through development, mostly due to lack of resources and manpower.
Sadly I never picked up on coding as much as I would need today and depend a lot on others to implement my ideas, if not possible in a drag-and-drop scenario or low-code solutions.

We seem to be in a low spot right now, many of the original authors gone and just a couple holding our flag. I have no solution for this, it is the usual evolution of software, if no new talents find they want to spend their time here, we will keep having problems with continuing work on this platform of ours.

Hey Homdax! Man it's been a very long time. I'm a "middle ground man" myself, when it comes to coding. I never had any formal training in php or mysql so I term myself a "shade tree mechanic"; that not withstanding, PHP-Fusion (in the beginning at least) was so easy to learn and modify. Then Nick passed away and the people that took the reins began taking it in new directions. It was necessary I agree, as it needed to be brought into better compliance with the newer web technologies but then it eventually became so complicated that the average webmaster couldn't keep up with all the changes. My friend afoster and I used to comment all the time that the "movers" of this CMS began dropping away like flies. But even with all the complications of learning the changes that were implemented, it's still one of the better systems out there in my opinion. Sorry, I tend to ramble a bit. Suffice it to say that I really miss the old days of "thrust and parry" between users in the forums.

@Grimloch
I do not know what to do!...
Will this site expire? When?
But I think we can pass on our experiences here for now.
I run PHPfusion 9.10.20 and 9.10.30 on 2 websites without problems.
