Just started using 8 after using 9 for quite a while...seems to work great except I have one file that fails throwing 500 error page...File is pdf, (atf_framework.pdf) which is fine. Now the description seems to be the one problem....The description is - For Determining Whether Certain Projectiles Are Primarily Intended For Sporting Purposes Within The Meaning Of 18 U.S.C. 921(A)(17)(C) To protect the lives and safety of law enforcement officers from the threat posed by ammunition capable of penetrating a protective vest when fired from a handgun, the Gun Control Act of 1968 (GCA), as amended, prohibits the import, manufacture, and distribution of armor piercing ammunition as defined by the statute. Now what I've highlighted, could that be the problem?

Found out it doesn't like the Parenthesis used that way. kinda sucks when you have legal downloads :-)

See under Settings > Security, turn off MIME check. It could be img verify function as well since PDF is treated as images. But start there.

image_verify checks a few chars, esp eval and parts that can trigger PHP such as <?. But if you managed it is all good smile

You need to remove all metadata from the image to be able to guarantee successful upload. Compress your files with a file compressor like rar, zip is another way around it.

We do not want to underestimate RCE image. Enable that MIME check always if possible.

Chan, it was in the description where the problem occurred...I'm wondering if it thought that it was malicious code??? It wasn't the file in itself.

Maybe I lift off wrong there.. since websites are typically made primarily for guests, or admins coming to your site. We do not know what is contained in the files. System checks are in place for that.
