Version: 9.03.90 (Danish language)

I followed an advice in another thread on how to change the admin password by deleting the content of the user-admin_password field in phpmyadmin and afterwards entering a new password in edit profile.

After deleting the field content and accessing the profile this warning shows up:
WARNING: admin password not set, click Edit Profile to set it.

Entering a new password and confirming it gives the following:
New admin. password - Your current administrative password was not specified or is invalid.

The original problem was that I couldn't enter the admin area with the password I knew was the right one - then I decided to change it, but this method doesn't work.

Please give advice on how I can insert the new password directly in phpmyadmin !!!

Update done now, but I still can't change/add new admin password by editing the profile:

WARNING: admin password not set, click Edit Profile to set it.
New admin password - Your Current Admin Password was not specified or is invalid.


And a look in the database shows that the user_admin_password field is empty.

Is there any way to insert the new admin password directly into the database, and if so: how?

Yes, you can start the installer and use recovery options to reset from there. Remember to remove file when it is done.
