Shoutbox reply button?

I use the shoutbox as the middle panel for the daily chat.
Is there an easy way to add "reply" button to the shout box?
It would be helpful if someone could respond to a specific shout.
User push "reply" button in specific shout, and script write original shout user name and shout id to text box above.
Like the quote button on the forum, but there is no need to quote the original text, just refer to it, for example based on shout_id.
The attached picture shows what I was thinking.

As you can see in the picture I printed the shout id, but the answer button still needs the function.
I only care if it’s easy to implement, if it’s hard, maybe you could get into a later Fusion version if you like the idea.
(The same would also be useful in the forum, instead of the reply button you deleted a few days ago. )

Shoutbox_Core_Reply_Mod folder contents uploaded to the server.
A new link must be created.

This your modification will not work in v9.10 since shoutbox has been updated (code was big mess and was not easy to edit template). But maybe i can add something like this to directly to core.
