You probably know there are many types of coffee grinders available on the market today, so it will be confusing for you to choose the coffee grinder that suits your demand.

If you are looking for a good coffee grinder but don't know where to start, then congratulations because here We will show you How to choose the best coffee grinder on the market.

What is the best coffee grinder

First of all, we should know about what makes the best burr coffee grinder? The answer is depending on the type of coffee you want to grind. If you wish to make espresso coffee or drip coffee or want a versatile coffee grinder, we will show you the most popular coffee grinders on the market today.

- Burr grinder

Burr grinder will crush coffee beans instead of cutting them, it has better consistency on better control. However, the downside is the price. It usually costs more than other types of grinders, and it uses more electric power if you choose an electric burr grinder.

- Blade grinder

This is an extremely popular grinder on the market for those who just want to grind coffee most simply. It will cut its coffee beans into small pieces with its crushed tongue. This type of coffee grinder is relatively cheap that anyone can buy it. Still, the only downside is that your coffee will not have a regular size after grinding.

What type of burr would you choose? Flat or Conical

If you have decided to buy a burr grinder, then read below because we will show you the types of burr grinders available.

Flat Burr Grinder

This type of grinder will use centrifugal force to push the coffee beans towards the teeth of the flat burr. You can adjust the coffee grinder's rotating configuration by moving the plates closer together to make the coffee beans smooth.

Or move them farther apart if you want your coffee beans not too smooth. It is generally cheaper than the conical burr grinder. Still, you will need to replace the new coffee grinder after grinding 250 to 600 kg of coffee.

Conical Burr Grinder

If you want a more professional coffee grinder, you can choose the best conical burr grinder because they are more durable than other types. And you can rotate from 750 to 1000 kg of coffee before removing them from your kitchen.

What material should you choose for your burr grinder? Steel or Ceramic

- Steel

Coffee grinders made of steel heat up faster and also cool down more quickly. So coffee shop owners tend to choose this type of coffee grinder.

- Ceramic

Meanwhile, ceramic coffee grinders tend to have a longer life span, and they are more expensive than steel coffee grinders. Ceramic coffee grinders conduct heatless, so it will take longer for them to heat up and cool down.

Although they have a longer life span, an accident will cause it to break, so if you want to choose this type of coffee grinder, you should be concerned about its storage.

- Size of burr grinder

The size of a coffee grinder is usually based on your intended use and the size of your kitchen. If you have a small kitchen space, it would be great if you choose a compact coffee grinder.

If you want to own a professional coffee grinder, we think the size won't be a problem. After all, best rated coffee grinders do not take up too much of your space, and you can completely arrange the area to put it in the most appropriate position.

- Consistency

Consistency is one of the most important things you should consider when deciding to buy a coffee grinder. It will affect the taste and aroma of the coffee after grinding.

To have a stunning cup of coffee, the first, the quality of the beans, plays an important role, in addition to what makes the flavor of coffee is smoothness and stability after grinding. If you want coffee to have good fineness, a burr coffee grinder will be the right tool.

- Price

It can be said that the price of a good coffee grinder is always in customers' top attention. We have to say that a good coffee grinder will not be cheap, coffee mills costing between $ 100 and $ 500 are considered to be relatively good coffee grinders.

You can also find coffee grinders for less than $ 100. Still, considering the durability and taste of the coffee you will drink, we think you should buy one of the top rated coffee grinders to have a better experience.

What's more, higher-priced coffee grinders are usually made from better durable materials, and you can also use it longer. This will save you money because you won't have to buy a new coffee grinder many times in the future.

- Capacity

Each coffee grinder has a certain capacity, so if your family drinks coffee in small quantities, we don't think you will need to buy a high-capacity coffee grinder. And in contrast, those who are operating coffee shops should choose a coffee grinder with large capacity because it can grind many coffee beans at the same time.

- Speed

You probably won't care about the grinding speed of a good coffee grinder because obviously, a coffee grinder will have lots of different grinding settings. If your coffee grinder has a high false rate, it will generate a lot of heat, which will affect the taste and aroma of the coffee. So we recommend you buy a coffee grinder with moderate and low grinding speed.

You have 2 choices to fix this problem.

If your numbers are for price - change column type to DECIMAL length values "10,4" default values 0
If your numbers are for arithmetic calculations - change column type to FLOAT length values 10 default values 0.

The downside for DECIMAL is it will not handle sum well. i.e. 1/3 x 3 = 3/3 = 1, decimal will return 99.999999 instead of 1. While, the float will calculated as 1, as it is designed to handle fraction calculations.
