Only ten days became. I have to admit that I am terrified coming childbirth a bit. Is this normal?

Yes it is. My wife and I adopted and even we were terriified about the coming events. It is not just the whole thing happening (the birth in your case, the handing-over procedure in ours) but also the fact that there is no way back and when the child is in your arms it is your responsibility. You know on fore-hand that you are never prepared enough for what is going to happen and how to do things and how to react, etc. Give it a few days (hours if you are lucky, weeks if you adapt less easily) and you will get confidence.
Trust me, there will be weeks, even months that you fear something may be wrong because you did not hear the child crying yet. Rest assured, it is because they were sleeping and quite content.
Trust me, there will be weeks, months, even years that you become very desparate because your child is crying and you do not know. Rested assured, they often do not know either and then you just have to sit it out and comfort it.

It is a learning experience that will never end and there will be frightful moments all along the way. (Almost) Welcome in the world of parenthood. :)

VAMET: I've been present during 4 childbirths and I've been very nervous before we entered the clinic, feeling sick and loosing sleep, couldn't even eat. So, yes, your reactions are very normal!

However, once labour has started, parental instincts will take over, you and your wife will work as a team in order to get Junior into this world, have no worries. Listen and talk to your wife, if she tells you to drop dead, don't, comfort her and spoil her rotten... Then all will be very cool and you'll be able to start changing diapers and all rest of the jolly good fun ahead of you!

Good luck and bring your camera, we'd like to see Junior asap!

Karol was born in the morning yesterday. I hurry to the hospital, I arrived only to say that he and his mom is OK! Karol has 3200 g and 54 cm. He is very beautiful after his mom :) I will add some pictures later, I am going to the hospital again. Bye...

It's hard to be dad! :D But I like it very much! :D
