Problem Newsletters_v501 Infusion

It can be your mail configurations, many host also restrict mess mails these days.
For one, you need to check so your site does send mail at all. After that you need to see what the host limit is, it could be 1 mail every 10 sec or so.
It is a very old infusion, but I know it used to work well with no restrictions.

Not sure actually, I would probably have a somewhat modified version somewhere, I have no time to look in to it right now.
Let´s first see if we can figure out if you even can send mails from your site.
Does confirmation mails get sent upon registration to your site?

I just uploaded the infusion sent by Domi...seems to work great. Is it possible to send the newsletter to specific groups and if so how do you do it? Being able to do that would be great for me.

With this I think is not possible , you have to change the code , with Newsletters_v501 this was possible but does not work well on my site

You can copy the function over if it's missing in your current OS.

Thanks Hien for your response. Unfortunately, I would have no idea where to place the code you mention. I assume it would be placed in one of the files of the infusion but where would be the question. I don't have the coding skills to know what to do with the code.

TBH, It has been 3 years since I've did anything with version 7. It took me longer to add something so simple than to fix the entire multilang locale engine on 9 :/

Ok, tested infusion with 9, and it did not infuse properly on 9. I adjusted some codes in 9 and now it works.

As a reward for letting me find the bug, I'll help the mod.

Sweden and Hungarian locale file is obfuscated with <?> sign since it's not UTF-8 when I open it, and
my system is only running on UTF-8. Notice I added 2 locale extra at most bottom of the file. So please fix it in case.

I'm also unsure how sendmail works with $bcc_list. So i'd just implode ", ", with the user emails and triggered once the send mail.
Just in case it doesn't work, try use send mail inside the while loop.

So, back up your current open_newsletter, and keep it safe in case this new one screw your whole system. Best bet is to test it in a test-site first before using it.

So, the way to use it is - i added a selector to include user-groups and all-subscribers inside. Since the send button is when you edit or compose newsletter according to how it was designed in the first place.

I'm not going to touch anything else, but just a simple mod inside on how it's done to get it to send to groups. If its turns up slow, do not refresh, or else you'd spam. I did not find redirect() in the closing of the $_POST.

Did the mail got sent to the subscribers? (not group, but subscribers).

It appears that it is not being sent to anyone with an email address of yahoo.com and hotmail.com. I have heard that yahoo.com addressees have had problems receiving emails but had not heard that hotmail.com users were experiencing the same problem. Hotmail.com is part of the outlook.com-live.com servers that MSN now owns.

Now Yahoo and Hotmail are involved. So did the email send or not? :)

I set up a group list containing 4 email addresses. The newsletter was delivered to two of the addresses but not the other two. As previously mentioned, it did not send to a hotmail.com or yahoo.com email address but it did send to an earthlink.net and bluebottle.com email address. Also to answer your original question, emails are being sent.
