I just went in to edit an article and the following messages appeared just above where "Category" and the other information is added:

Warning: opendir(../images/articles/) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: Permission denied in ../maincore.php on line 538

Warning: readdir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in ../maincore.php on line 539

Warning: closedir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in ../maincore.php on line 546


This happened once I returned to the site after my password (superadmin) did not work and I had to go through the "lost password" routine. Have I been hacked?

Any ideas?
