I'm modifying the source code of a file (profile.php) and I wanted to show that I made modifications to it. Is this alright, and is there a better way to word it?

Note: I've removed the rest to make the code snippet small, but in the file's source, all of the other stuff remains.

Based on PHPFusion
seems a bit much for a small change, but since it has all it has to contain, that is fine with me, that would be a legitimate footer.

I'm just trying to find a way to say that the foundation of my site is PHPFusion, and that the admin team of my site has built on it, and not that we're just using a basic PHPFusion package without modifications. If you know of any better way to word it, I would be happy to use it.

That sounds great to me! I'm sure the admins won't mind but I'll wait until they approve before I switch it. Thanks!

No problem. And it has the things needed for a valid AGPL v3 license, so it is fine as a copyright. And it's a bit less 'arrogant' as "Based on PHPFusion ....." But if you want to wait for an admin to approve it, no problem - it's a respective choice.

Yea, I really wasn't trying for arrogance but I couldn't think of anything. Thanks again.

I didn't think you were trying to be arrogant, but the copyright seemed kind of like it was trying to say "We started out with PHPFusion, but we have transformed it into a much better CMS than it's original state."

Lets stay obn topic, the footer does not voialate the terms of the AGPL agreement and therefor it is fine!

I don't think any of you are trying to be arrogant or are accusing the other to be it!

I understand what you're saying googlebot, and I really didn't look at that way, but you're right.

And to actually get on topic, what about the file's source code, is that modification alright?
