Is there some sort of option that you can enable or disable sendmail.

Whenever I send a pm to all members I receive an error message about 'sendmail'

If there is somewhere that I can turn this on or off, then I must have it off I'm thinking but can't find anywhere for this option.

login to root

if on redhat server or redhat compatible

yum remove sendmail

debian based

sudo apt-get remove sendmail

then make sure the proper settings in your php.ini are set to use your existing SMTP MTA with the mail() function instead of sendmail

Where to I go to login to root, I know I can get there in FTP, that is.
