Send mail system failed.

you must check if your host supports php_mail() or smtp if not, you should move 2 an other host or ask them to allow it

Its was fine before but when I updated to v7 its generating error message. Please help me.

Im having the same problem here,

I just installed fusion and configured mercury on my xampp server.
i am able to send mail within the merc system but on the site it gives me the error send mail failed contact administrator.
i am using gmail as smtp host.
anyone else know a fix??

After a long day i have the mailing working trough gmail smtp.
this is how it works.
What you need is xampp

First of all you have to configure mercury mail server.

to do this open your xampp dir and start mercury by using the controle panel.

just start @ 1 and go all to the end.

Notice some fixes that were not discussed trough the manual. they start at line 5. check the edit under the manual .

if you are trough with this manual and are able to send mail in mercury it self.
now you need to follow these next direction to get email working in fusion it self.


First open your website and go in your adminpanel.
go to the dropdownbox for system admin and select Miscellaneous settings.
smtp host username and password should not be filled in.
if that is ok press save, if not ok delete it.

Go to C:\xampp\sendmail and open sendmail.ini
SMTP server should be just localhost and the port is 25. if that is true, save it and close the file.

Next go to C:\xampp\apache\bin
and open php.ini
ctrl+f and search for [mail function]

same here the information should be
SMTP = localhost
smtp_port = 25
sendmail_from = admin@localhost
if that is true, save your file.

now you can use php mail with mercury mail server.

you can test by register an new user wile activation is trough email convermation.

this concludes php and mercury.
