It's with pleasure that we announce the present upgrade package for PHPFusion v7. This package includes two minor vulnerabilities and a whole bunch of bug fixes and smaller improvements. Most bug fixes were already available through the SVN and, indeed, have already been distributed through some of the later core installation packages. The bug fixes themselves were not distributed in any of the upgrade packages earlier. The whole list of changed files is available in the Read More section. Please note that we have decided to add a leading '0' to the subversion number. This was done for future consitency in version numbering. The presently released packages are up to date with the present version of the SVN (1091) and the downloads on SourceForge have been updated. Upgrading is performed by unzipping the upgrade package, uploading the contents to your webserver and run the upgrade script from Admin Panel -> System Admin -> Upgrade. PHPFusion 7.00.05 Update - for 7.00.4 only (116K. PHPFusion 7.00.05 (2.7 M. UPDATE 13 January 2009: A small bug was found in viewpage.php and has been corrected. If users experience problems viewing custom pages, then it is likely you have the buggy version of viewpage.php. You should then re-download the update package and re-upload the file. Core packages with the version have a file stating they are based on SVN1089. The new version is based on SVN1091.

I'm delighted to announce the release PHPFusion X3 RV3. The most notable addition in this release is the much requested Multi-Language feature. Primarily available in English and Danish, PHPFusion X3 RV3 is my first true multi-lingual creation made possible only by the broadening user base. The second key point of PHPFusion X3 RV3 is that most, if not all of the quircks discovered in RV2 have been put right. I believe this release has a much more solid foundation on which I can build upon, and I fully intend to keep building on what I now realise is something with great potential. PHPFusion X3 RV3 is available as an upgrade for existing users and as a full installation for new users. For details on new additions, changes & fixes, click Read More. Download PHPFusion X3 RV3. Please refer to the included Readme file for installation/upgrade instructions.

I'm gonna have to hold my hands up and admit a mistake. I had received the Dutch language files on Sunday evening from my official translator choice, Paul. However in the mayhem of my work it got overlooked and I forgot to go back and check. In the midst of this Speedodin provided a Dutch file set, which I accepted mistakingly. My apologies to both parties. I am however a man of my word, and must use the intended fileset provided by Paul. Hopefully I wont make such mistakes in the future!

The Language files for PHPFusion X3 are nearly ready, translation volunteers have been selected, please check This Forum Thread. I will be Private Messaging volunteers with a download link within the next week so that translation can begin. I'm working as fast as possible, but I can confirm tests have been conducted successfully on the updated install.php script. There are just a few more bits to sort out, including the upgrade.php script to upgrade RV2 to RV3. It's coming!

Should you encounter any problems logging in, you may need to delete the digitaldominion.co.uk cookie from your cookie folder. Thank you for your patience and continued support!

With the impending release of PHPFusion X3 RV3, Digital Dominion will be undergoing some general maintenance. At some point I will need to close the forums for a short period in order to remove un-needed posts (we don't want folks getting confused now do we heh). PHPFusion X3 RV3 will be released on Tuesday at the latest. There are still a few irks I want to check on prior to release. Though RV3 will have multi-language support, it will initially only be shipped with the English language files, but I will be releasing other language packs as soon as my very kind translators make them available. Thank you for your support.

Server hiccups - VPS Upgrade
We have been experiencing some glitches and even sudden halts here on PHPFusion Main quite a few times the past two - three weeks. Do not worry, this is only good news for us. The good news is that we have about 3-4 times as much site usage as we used to compared to a year ago. Last month gave us about 4 million pageviews on PHPFusion Main alone. We have not been configured to handle such volumes of site usage. Our Main sponsor CloudVPS saved the day, reliable as they are and upgraded our VPS resources today. We have about the double capacity from today compared to yesterday. Thank you CloudVPS

Admin Password Reset Malfunction
Recent events has made us aware of a malfunction of the Admin Password Reset page in the Administration Panel of PHPFusion v7.02. Given the right conditions this malfunction could enable a hacker to gain access to those accounts which have had their password reset using the Admin Password Reset page. Affected PHPFusion versions: All PHPFusion v7.02.xx. Details of the malfunction: The malfunction was caused by improper implementation of the PasswordAuth class (/includes/classes/PasswordAuth.class.php) which handles login and admin passwords for all users in PHPFusion. The malfunction resulted in 1 out of 10 reset admins would have an empty login password which enabled the hacker to access the account using a random password of his or hers choosing. Our recommandation: Until PHPFusion v7.02.03 is release we discourage all use of the Admin Password Reset page. It is however not possible to exploit this problem without first using the Admin Password Reset. If you have used this we encourage you to change your passwords manually. More information will continuously be available on the Development Site as well as patched files. In the mean time you can send your questions directly to Hans Kristian Flaatten, Development Team Leader.

This is just to let the community at large know about why the site was down over the weekend. From our preliminary investigations, there appears to be an issue with the admin reset facility. Our Dev team are currently verifying the problem and are working to post more details as soon as possible.

When I added these logs on the main site I expected to catch a lot of "garbage". It turned out my expectations were somehow exceeded. In some days we got many thousands of injection attacks and the access log allowed us to check and blacklist the culprit IPs. Then we've been able to monitor spammer registrations with the error log + some other stuff. These tools are not yet finished, obviously, but they served well so far, even as they are. In conclusion, we should keep both tools and record our site's activity. One of our administrators switched the PHP panel from Public to Administrator. As a result, the two functions only record Administrator activity. This is rather useless. We trust our Admins. This was installed here for productive/security reasons. Will the real slim shady please stand up? I mean the administrator who changed the panel's settings should come up and explain his reason. I just explained the rest. NOTE: This is an Admin-only news item.

Bugs and Errors
3rd party infusion exploits
Recently several community users websites have been hacked, from what we can tell this is not due to PHPFusion Core exploits but due to infusions/mods that have exploits. Doing a bit of research we have found that the following website has some of them listed. If you use any infusions/mods other than official infusions from staff please make sure you review this list and either disable or update the affected infusions/mods. http://www.milw0rm.com/related.php?program=PHPFusion Cheers

Digitanium has created a new custom bugtracker for us here at PHP Fusion so we dont need to use a 3rd party application and it integrates fairly nicely with the site. We have added it to this site for those who wish to test and provide feedback on errors and issues they see in PHP Fusion. We are all human, no-one person is perfect so im sure some will be found here or there! I would also like to mention that it is not just for bugs but also for feature requests! This way we dont need to have several posts asking for the same feature, you can simply search the database for the feature and see if it has already been asked for. If not then you can submit a request or if it has simply add a comment to the submission! You can access the bugtracker via the URL on the nav bar or by visiting the following URL: http://php-fusion.co.uk/infusions/roadmap/roadmap.php

Along with the release of the helpdesk system we are proud to announce the release of the Mantis Bug Tracking system. This system will allow users to report bugs, ask for feature requests which can be denied, accepted and allocated to certain version numbers like a roadmap. The only major downfall to a system like this is with the vast majority of users that we do have in the community duplicate bug reports are going to happen. What I ask from the community is simple, before posting your bug or feature request please search the system for it before and simply add your notes and information to the currently existing bug report. This will make it much easier for the dev crew to analyze issues. We dont want to be spending our time marking duplicate bug reports and closing them. So without further adue: http://mantis.php-fusion.co.uk/dev/ Update: Apparently its one of the Dev Staff's birthday... Happy Birthday to Wooya!

June 03 2014 12 minutes
Due to PHPFusion V7.02 Testing, the Addons Team may not be able to accept any major modification requests until after V7.02 final is released. As core files are subject to change right up till release, you would end up with an addon that may need recoding in a very short time frame. When V7.02 is released most Developers, Coders and Addon Authors will probably have to update a lot of addons so please give everyone time. The last thing we need to worry about is fulfilling lots of major requests from people. If you have any major requests for new Addons please hold off until PHPFusion V7.02 final is released and we will get back into full swing.

March 19 2018 3 minutes
For about seven weeks ago we decided to put our hearts in to the realisation of these major updates to both our systems and the public profile. We wanted these updates to base on The Atom-X Theme and the templating to this. These updates are essential for us in order to display a modern profile of PHPFusion as a Content Management System. There have also been a strong need to show new paths and some more viable Theming methods for dedicated PHPFusion 7 Developers.

Several changes in User Groups on this site
Greetings! First of all I have appointed Ugleh, Jikaka and Polarfox as Addon Approvers. We have a queue in this and I hope you guys will be able to shorten it. The Addon Approver Guidelines are available here and may be a good read for anyone wanting to submit an AddOn for approval. Second I have revised Administrative access to this site and made several changes. Not only for security reasons but also in relation to the activity level. Third I have emptied the Junior respective Senior Developers groups. These are currently under revision and as far as I am concerned there is only one person that decides upon who goes there, and that is PMM. I do have one demand though, any member in those groups should have some measure of activity in the development of the next relevant version of PHPFusion. Regardless of it is a major or a minor version. As always, contact me via PM if you have any questions. /Richard

Changes to Moderation/Support team In order to give me some more time with 8, I have done the following changes to the Support Team: MarcusG will be my stand in for some months ahead and as such acting Support Team Leader. Gillette is hereby added to the Team, Welcome! Khaman has been doing Moderation on and off and is hereby officially appointed as such. Falcon continues on the Team, as long as he finds the time for it (being also Leader of 8 Design Team). Polarfox also continues on the Team on similar premises as Falcon (as long as he does not find anything better to do ) . I thank you for volunteering your efforts, and trust you to do a good job. As for me, well, I remain fully responsible for their actions. I pray to be able to resume my responsibilities when this site runs, at least, a Beta of PHPFusion 8!!!

I do not make changes lightly nor post any news here often, but I feel we owe some recognition to a rising star among us. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you: JoiNNN! Not only is he maintaining the winning theme for the Swedish NSS, he is also a polite and patient supporter on this and the Romanian sites. He was good enough to accept my request to make him part of the Official Support Team here. Furthermore the Support Team is under continous revision, the members are now: Homdax, Falcon, JoiNNN and Polarfox. Please PM me suggestions for other names. Remember, be patient when requesting support, there are many members aside above mentioned names than can help you, but we do not have a scheduled watch. As in everything with Free Software, we support what we can, when we can.

PHPFusion 9 RC 4 Available
About 4 months have passed since we released PHPFusion 9.0 RC 3. Our new Main site based on PHPFusion 9 are progressing very well, however we are not quite ready yet. Please see the News image. The main reason to why we postpone the sharp release is because we want to launch PHPFusion 9 with the new Main site. In order to complete the new Main site based on 9 as we want it, we were lacking a tool. This tool are mentioned in the non-official Development plan for 9.x. We decided to complete this tool for the initial 9 release and utilize it on the new Main site. The tool I am talking about here is a comprehensive site builder tool for your site. It is simply not that easy to build a customized front page with your personal touch today. You will for example still need to master some basic coding. The goal is to eliminate that with this tool. Over 97 Reported issues on Github have been settled since RC 3, as always there have been a ton of adjustments and various additional improvements applied. But as you can see, the amount of issues are declining for each RC and this is the first one we release with a blank page of issues. Yes, you read it right, there are virtually no known issues in this writing moment. We have noticed a larger public on PHPFusion 9 platform and that is a good sign, with the RC 4 we hope to increase the user pool for PHPFusion 9. Download PHPFusion 9 RC 4 here

A little over 2 months have passed since we released PHPFusion 9.0 RC 2. Because of the amount of issues and the fact that we want to prepare a new Main site with 9 as we release it an extra RC was required. Over 167 Reported issues on Github have been settled, just as many adjustments and various additional fixes have been applied. The PHPFusion Community are still very helpful and we are still getting closer to perfection by the day. I would like to give a huge Thank You to everyone involved! Download PHPFusion 9 RC 3 here

PHPFusion 9 RC 3 Status Report
Due to popluar demand, here is a status report. The RC 3 have already had just a little over 80 public issues settled and probably just as many, if not more non public ones simply patched in to the Github. None of the Issues have been serious. The RC 3 version have proved to be very stable with only some minor glitches here and there. A complete list of the publicly patched issues can be found in Fixed issues since RC 3 Thank you for all the reports and testing !
