What's next for PHPFusion?

It seems that this project has died.
Which team members are still behind the project and are actively working on it? The site admins are rather inactive. One hasn't been here for more than 2 years, one another hasn't been active for several months and was logged in once again a few days ago. But the forum is still filled with spam entries that no one processes or deletes. The last news and release of a new version was more than 2 years ago.

On Github there is no useful progress, old bugs are not fixed, instead new features are sporadically tinkered with and the bugs are not decreasing but increasing. Many developers have turned their backs on PHPFusion.
2FA was in progress, storing sessions in db doesn't work. The last change was made in theme switcher 8 months ago. Other changes are older than 1 year.

On November 21st 2024, PHP version 8.4 was officially released. This CMS continues to drag around old bugs, which are not fixed. I have supported PHPFusion for a long time and also purchased a CCL few years ago.

I think it would be decent and fair to inform the community about the current status. In particular, it is important to find out whether this is still being worked on at all, how the planning is with regard to bug fixes and compatibility problems with current PHP versions.

I don't want to build up pressure or cause stress. But I want an official statement that I can count on.
I certainly understand if it turns out that the motivation is no longer there, that the project can no longer be continued due to time constraints or missing supporters. But it would be nice to just know and adapt to it.

Thanks for your concerns and support for PHPFusion. While the project isn’t abandoned, progress has been slow as this remains a pro bono effort for many of us. I’m focusing on v9 development and am most active on Discord.

The website issues and bugs are valid concerns, and I’ll try to address what I can within my limited time. For bug reports, please use GitHub, and for urgent security matters, reach out to me directly on Discord.

I appreciate your understanding and patience.

I have taken some time to clean up the spam posts. What eye sore.

Good evening everyone
Will there be an update for the php fusion 8.0.100 or would it be further developed? I had read in some post that there was a security hole in the upload function. 8.0.100 also has a great admin area. It would just be a shame if it wasn't developed further, which could be a good thing. If there was an option for an update to the 9th version issue, I think the infusion will be like the GR broadcast schedule and team list. I wish you a nice 3rd Advent
