Firstly, the activation link sent in emails for my site does not seem to be working. I have been having to activate memberships manually.
Secondly, signatures are not showing up.

See Administration > System Admin > Email Templates and see if you can tinker it there some.

Ok, I can get my signature to show up, but I cannot get someone else's signature to show up. When editing the profile, it doesn't want to do it right and says there's an error of some sort.

Update your site to v9.03 and try again. There are no problems with the latest release as far as I know.
