I have only one remaining problem on my customer's site. This is on the client email receiving end when a Registration, PM Message or Contact email is sent from the system. This is what the client sees in their email program:
Subject You have a new private message waiting at [SITENAME]

twills,
You have received a new Private Message titled RE: Phone Userfield from Grimloch at [SITENAME]. You can [LINK]read[/LINK] your private message.

Where ever the function is to replace in output the [SITENAME] and [LINK] [/LINK] is not working properly. This is system stuff and I have no idea how to troubleshoot this. Please help !!
Addendum: I don't know about my customer but in my Thunderbird email client it makes no difference to change the View/Message_Body_As: Original_HTML, Simple_Html or Plain_Text ... the result is the same.

Another strange thing: for the first few days after install it worked normally; no problems. Maybe I changed something I'm not sure and I don't know where to look.

The replaced text comes from the settings table

Are you sure you have not touched your locale files?

What do the locale files have to do with it since the replacements come from the settings table?

Also where in the system are these defined? [SITENAME] etc etc etc...

Well douwe I checked every single locale file I could find where there are [xxxxx] definitions and made sure they were all intact with no modifications. Still did not work so I got rid of the [xxxx] defines and hard-coded the info instead, where possible because we do not plan to ever upgrade the system he is running (8.00.80) and that fixed the problems. Thanks for your help. smile
