For certain registries, approximately 30 days after the domain name expires it will enter into a redemption period for approximately 30 days.
During the redemption period, you can still renew your domain name, but there is an additional redemption fee that vary a lot depending on extension.
If the domain name is not redeemed during the redemption period, the domain name will be deleted by the registry and made available for registration.

For certain registries, approximately 30 days after a domain name expires it goes into what is called the redemption period.
The redemption period lasts for approximately 30 days.
During this period the domain name can be redeemed by the original registrant for an extra fee that vary a lot depending on extension, the fee always includes a one year renewal.
If the domain name is not redeemed it will be deleted by the registry and made available for registration.

I requested the transfer 4 days ago. Why has my Domain name still not transferred?

You can change the DNS and/or A Records at any time by logging into your Account Login.
However, per ICANN regulations, you cannot change the Registrar for 60 days following a new registration.
After that time, you can request a transfer through the receiving Registrar and we will be notified of the move.

URL Forwarding allows you to redirect or 'point' your domain name to another location.
Most often, this is used if you own multiple domain names and want to 'point' them to the same website.
It is also useful for websites that use a free website hosting service, but want the convenience of a domain name.

When you register a domain name with PHP-Fusion, you will receive a free URL forwarding.
Once your registration is complete, you will be able to login to your account and setup your website forwarding address.
If you would like to setup URL forwarding for a domain name that you already own or would like to setup a cloaked URL forwarding account, please visit our Domain forwarding section in the Client Portal.

This is when the URL forwarding is most useful. You simply login to your account and update the URL that you want your domain name forwarded to.

A cloaked domain is similar to regular URL forwarding, except that your URL will never change in the address bar.
When you use cloaked URL forwarding, your domainname.com forwards to your actual URL, but yourdomain.com stays in the address bar.

You will need to make sure that you are using the full images paths (i.e. http:/www.phpfusion.com/images/mygif.gif rather than /images/mygif.gif).

The advantage of using meta tags with your cloaked URL is that you are providing search engines with information about your website when they visit your actual domain name. Meta tags are lines of code at the top of an html page that instruct search engines and give them information about your website.

Some basic meta tags include:

Often times, search engines use these titles for the title of your listing within their search results.

It is highly recommended that you have the basic meta tags in place when you use a cloaked domain.
While these tags are not the sole source of information about your website, they are useful in helping some of the engines determine your placement.

If you currently have a web server for your site, we can point the Domain name to that server's IP address.
The domain name will remain on our servers and PHP-Fusion will continue to handle DNS and email forwarding for free.
To change the IP pointing, simply enter in the A-Record DNS information of your server or web host in your Client Portal.
